The Bush hatred promulgated by the left in this country is childish and ridiculous. We can’t even admit when the man has made a significant achievement.
Your guy lost in 2000 and again in 2004. Bush is not running for President in 2008, nor is Cheney. Get over it already.
I bet I’ll get banned from Google for this, but…
As I may have alluded before, I don’t like Google. I don’t use Google. It is not installed on my computer. I use Yahoo. Why?
Google uses their search engine to promote their liberal political agenda. Does anyone else remember how you would land at a George W. Bush bio page when you typed “failure” into Google’s search box and then clicked I’m Feeling Lucky? (They have now changed that result, but I haven’t forgotten, and neither should you.)
Or how about google.cn? Google agreed to censor their search results to keep people in China from finding out about stuff their government doesn’t want them to see.
And here’s the latest:
“…beginning Feb. 13, Google News users could no longer find new stories from the Inner City Press.” Why? The blog is critical of the United Nations. Google likes the United Nations. So, no more blog.
Look, I use a search engine because I want to find out information. I don’t need Google to be my nanny and neither do you. And I will not support Google or their advertisers as long as they continue these policies.
NYT goes after fluorescent bulbs
An editorial in today’s New York Times criticizes fluorescent bulbs. They go after them from the mercury angle. I still have yet to see anyone else mention the fact that exposure to fluorescent light can be dangerous for people with autoimmune and other disorders. But if there is hope that the stupid law requiring these bulbs by 2014 will be overturned, I’ll take what I can get.

Hitler is Hitler
I read yet another George-Bush-is-Hitler allusion this morning.
Hitler is responsible for the murder of an estimated 6 million human beings. Reckless comparisons like this desensitize us to the true nature of Hitler’s atrocities and reveal an appalling lack of knowledge about the true nature of the Holocaust.
Poet and philosopher George Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” With that going through my mind, I ran across this article (snipped and linked here):
People, please: the Bush-is-Hitler comparison is uninformed at best, and dangerous at worst. Enough already.
New term
warm-monger: a term referring to the fanaticism displayed by those preaching gloom and doom if we don’t immediately stop burning fossil fuels.
